On my latest door to door experience, Anna Maria Katz joined me as said hello to residents of town houses on Kildare Road and Cavendish Blvd.

For starters, I always love to see parents
come to the door with their younger children. Such was the case at the home of
Dr. Bernard Mayantz whose twins Lilly and Daisy and older daughter Juliette
were very curious what a city councillor does.
I was pleased to give them a lesson
in City Council 101. They took my electoral pamphlet and I encouraged them to
read it.

At another
home I met Brittany Crystal and her husband
Jean-Philippe Langlois. I asked Brittany
if she was related to a Brian Crystal, someone I played hockey with in Côte
Saint-Luc many decades ago. Yep, Brian is her dad and if I recalled correctly
he wore number 7.
Along
Cavendish Blvd. residents were very
pleased with the work I did, with the support of the Mayor and Council, to drop plans proposed by our staff to build a
new Public Safety station on the greenspace at the corner of The Avenue and Park Place.
One person
was not home, but he connected with me via the audio from his ring doorbell.

Lors de ma dernière expérience de porte-à-porte, Anna
Maria Katz m'a accompagné pour saluer les résidents des maisons en rangée
situées sur Kildare Road et Cavendish Blvd.
Pour commencer,
j'aime toujours voir les parents venir à la porte avec leurs jeunes enfants. Ce
fut le cas chez le Dr Bernard Mayantz, dont les jumelles Lilly et Daisy et la
fille aînée Juliette étaient très curieuses de savoir ce que fait un conseiller
municipal. J'ai été ravi de leur donner
une leçon sur le fonctionnement du conseil municipal. Ils ont pris ma brochure
électorale et je les ai encouragés à la lire.
Dans une autre maison, j'ai rencontré Brittany Crystal
et son mari Jean-Philippe Langlois. J'ai demandé à Brittany si elle était
apparentée à Brian Crystal, avec qui j'ai joué au hockey à Côte Saint-Luc il y
a plusieurs décennies. Oui, Brian est son père et, si je me souviens bien, il
portait le numéro 7.
Le long du boulevard Cavendish, les résidents étaient
très satisfaits du travail que j'ai accompli, avec le soutien du maire et du
conseil municipal, pour abandonner le projet proposé par notre personnel de
construire un nouveau poste de sécurité publique sur l'espace vert situé à
l'angle de l'avenue et de Park Place.
Une personne n'était pas chez elle, mais elle m'a
contacté via l'audio de sa sonnette.
